Tenure & Promotion Criteria

Consider reevaluating the tenure and promotion criteria to include all "shadow work" and other non-traditional forms of scholarship.

Academic Council continues to consider this and other possibilities regarding institutional valuing of currently invisible service that supports BIPOC and FGLI student thriving. Notes from the 2020-21 Academic Council will be shared with the next iteration of the Academic Council, which convenes in Fall 2021. Academic Council will work with the Faculty Affairs and Planning Committee (FAPC) to discuss and co-create any possible proposals. 

Any changes to the tenure and promotion criteria would need to be brought to Faculty Meeting for consideration, discussion, and a decision.
