Student Attrition

The Task Force on Retention and Persistence will identify causes of student attrition and ways that Haverford can better support thriving, including a particular focus on BIPOC and LGBTQ+ students.

After a series of focus groups, an initial report of findings was shared with senior staff, Committee on Student Standing and Programs (CSSP), and Faculty Affairs and Planning Committee (FAPC), and will inform possible changes to policy and practice. The Task Force has expanded this work into a 3-year agenda for the Institutional Effectiveness Committee (IEC) which will lead cross-divisional work to follow up and expand on questions raised in that report, leading to recommendations.
