The Interim Chief Diversity Officer has begun the work of building out the office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA), which will include new staff roles.
The Advisory Committee on the Future CDO Structure began meeting in February 2021, discussing key responsibilities of the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) role, reviewing literature and best practices, meeting with experienced CDOs and other experts, and exploring a number of possible models for the future of the CDO role and the shape of the entire CDO office. The Advisory Committee’s report to the president, which will be made available to the full community, is expected in summer 2021. The president’s consideration of committee's recommendations and resultant staff reorganization and/or hiring) expected in late Summer 2021 and Fall 2021.
