Faculty Position Requests

Explore the possibility of making faculty position requests from academic departments available to the entire community.

In September 2021, the Strategic Curriculum and Personnel Committee (SCPC) announced the process for departments and programs interested in requesting tenure track or continuing positions to submit preliminary letters of intent. Once the committee has had time to review the material, these letters of intent will be made available to the full faculty.

In April 2021, the faculty reconstituted the Educational Policy Committee into two new committees, and this topic now moves into the purview of the Strategic Curriculum and Personnel Committee (SCPC). SCPC will discuss the transparency of future position requests and proposals when they convene in the Fall of 2021. Information regarding position requests is currently available on the website.
