Developments & Updates
In January 2022, Raquel Esteves-Joyce shared a message with the campus that introduced the restructured team (and some new members), as well as the broad organizational aspirations of the Dean's Office DEI team.
In November 2021, Dean of the College John McKnight shared a new organizational structure for the Dean's Office with the campus, including the new role of Associate Dean of the College for Student Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (now held by Raquel Esteves-Joyce). This new structure brings together the following offices in one team: the Chesick Scholars Program, International Student Services, Gender Resources and Sexual Education (GRASE), Marilou Allen Office of Community Engagement, Multicultural Affairs, and Religious and Spiritual Life.
Phase 1 completed with additional changes to come. Broad reorganization strategy detailed in a 5/27/21 message to campus, after a lengthy process of planning and engagement with colleagues and community partners.
